The story
I've been drawing in margins since school. I studied illustration at NID Ahmedabad, freelanced for newspapers and magazines for a few years, then bought a beat-up risograph machine off Marketplace in 2022 and started printing my own work. Each riso print is layered colour by colour by hand, and the misregistration between layers is half the charm. I work in editions of 50 to 100 — never more. I draw what I see in this city: the dabbawalas, the second-hand bookstalls in Fort, the women on Marine Drive at dusk. India that doesn't fit on heritage-tradition pages.
