Their Story
Pashmina comes from the Changthangi goat that lives above 14,000 feet in Ladakh. Each goat gives only 80-120 grams of fibre a year. I buy raw fibre from nomadic herders, and my family hand-spins it on a yinder — a traditional spinning wheel. A single shawl takes four to eighteen months depending on the embroidery. My sozni needlework is done without any printed pattern; the design lives in my memory, passed from my father. A real Pashmina is not a product — it is a legacy you pass to your children.
